Durban Heat — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 6 October 2026 (visit counts added)

Durban Heat is a game. It has no adverts and no third-party tracking. Unless you choose to use Cloud save, nothing about you leaves your device.

What the game stores on your device

Your saved game (progress, cash, character, settings) is kept in your browser or the app on your phone. Clearing the browser's site data or deleting the app deletes it.

Anonymous visit counts

On the website, we use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits: roughly how many people play, from which countries and devices, and which links brought them. It uses no cookies, doesn't identify you, and stores nothing on your device. The game also counts a few milestones the same anonymous way (for example a mission finished or a home bought), never anything about you.

Cloud save (optional)

If you create a cloud save, we keep:

If you also tick “Send me Durban Heat news”, we keep an encrypted copy of your email to send you occasional news about the game. It isn't shared, sold or used for anything else, and every email will have a way to unsubscribe.

Cloud saves are stored on Vercel's servers in South Africa (Cape Town). Your device keeps a sign-in token so it can back up as you play; signing out removes it.

Your rights

Under POPIA you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your cloud save and email at any time. Contact us through the support page using the email on your save.

Children

The game isn't directed at children. Please don't create a cloud save if you are under 18.

Changes

If what the game collects changes, this page will be updated before the change ships.
